Beaumont Texas- On the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month, a Walmart Supercenter in Beaumont will be offering 30% off the entire store for all customers who weigh over 300lbs. Customers who wish to qualify for the discount must weigh themselves on site or have a card from a licensed physician or dietitian verifying their weight.
Walmart World Headquarters has chosen Beaumont to test this new discount program out. “We want to offer our customers in Beaumont even greater savings. We know that larger folk have day to day struggles many of us may never know. Offering them a 30% discount shows that we care for our plus sized friends.”, Walmart Spokesman.
In preparation for an overwhelming response, Walmart has issues over 6 dozen heavy duty electric scooters to Beaumont. If it turns out to be a success expect to see such changes in the stores near you by years end. In case you were hoping to save 30% on online orders as well, you will be disappointed to know that you must not only weigh 300lbs, but your purchases must be made in store and in person to receive the discount.
